Lacrosse Opportunities for Aspiring Athletes in New Jersey

Tips on Getting Ready for Tryouts, Recruitment, and other Lacrosse Opportunities

Every lacrosse player knows that spring through summer is our sport's busiest time of year. High schools play daily, club teams compete, and you’re on the field gaining invaluable experience. Our message to you is this: practice often, play consistently, and be proactive when finding new lacrosse opportunities. If your goals include playing collegiate lacrosse, our expertise and resources will help you reach your maximum potential.

How We Help Players Get Recruited for College Lacrosse

Jersey Thunder Lacrosse is here to help. Our team of elite coaches is made up of former players who have been through the process themselves and know what it takes to be successful in your own recruitment efforts. It’s also important to note that COVID-19 has impacted the traditional college lacrosse recruitment process. We have learned to adapt all the eligibility and rule changes made by NCAA Lacrosse.

High school-aged students who have the academic and athletic abilities to play at the college level may benefit from our College Advisory Program (CAP), where we offer:

  • College research and guidance

  • Advice on using social media to your advantage

  • Tips to create a great highlight reel

  • Insight into what college coaches are looking for

  • Connections to coaches and advisors

  • Campus visitation opportunities

  • And more!

Spring Lacrosse is your Chance to Shine

We’ve spent thirty years helping hard-working students get into their top college programs because of our training and wise advice. Show up every day and prove why you’re a valuable asset to your team. Take this season to sharpen your skills with school lacrosse, tournaments, and Jersey Thunder’s training program to grow more confident in your game. Spend this time to learn from your fellow players and build upon skills that could land you a spot on a college team.

Consider using Spring Break as an opportunity to improve your game. Contact us to discover which college you’re interested in playing for and we'll advise you on how to move forward in that process. We can help prepare you for tryouts or if you’re invited to a practice session. Remember, it’s not about being the flashiest player on the field– most coaches are looking for a reliable, respectful, and resilient athlete. Show up with these qualities and utilize what Jersey Thunder Lacrosse has taught you.
